Edit Article

When you are on the My Articles page, click on the Edit link to enter the editing mode as shown below:

[Choose Keywords]
Move your mouse cursor to the word that you wish to add as keyword.Select the word by highlighting using the left mouse button. The word will be automatically added into the keyword list.

To remove the selected word as keyword, move the mouse cursor to the already selected word. Select the word again by clicking and holding the left mouse button. The word will be removed from the keyword list.

If you select a word that is a polyphone, contains punctuation or special format characters or non-Chinese characters, an alert message will appear. Please amend or delete the word in order to proceed.

[ ]
Click this icon to listen to the pronunciation of the word or character.

[ ]
Click this icon to amend how the keyword is to be displayed and pronounced. Click on the "GO" button to register your change.

[Memo]
You can add any remarks about the article in this textbox.

[Level]
The difficulty levels are Difficult, Medium, Easy. The default value is Easy.

[Icon]
The same set of icons is used in both My Settings and Upload Article. Choose an icon to display together with the article.

[Save]
Click the Save button to save the changes you have made to your article.

[Publish]
Click the Publish button to publish this article for you and your NewsTalk friends to view. After clicking this button, you will once again see the My Article page.

[Small font]
Click this button to change from large font to small font size.

[Large font]
Click this button to change from small font to large font size.

[Level Evaluation]
Click this button to perform an automatic evaluation of the level of difficulty of the article text as shown in the diagram below:

[Grade]
The different grades are P1-2 (Primary 1 to 2), P3-4 (Primary 3 to 4), P5-6 (Primary 5 to 6), S1-2 (Secondary 1 to 2), S3-4 (Secondary 3 to 4) and Post S3-4 (higher than Secondary 3 to 4).

[Word count]
Shows the number of characters that are unfamiliar to the level chosen.

[No repeated words]
Shows the number of characters that are unfamiliar to the level chosen (less repeated characters).

[Close]
Click this link to close the Find Level panel.
